Our Ohio Valley HD Family extends beyond the concept of community. We witness a continual commitment by people supporting each other emotionally, mentally, socially, medically, and financially. There are many heroes in our family. There are those who participate in research studies and clinical trials; there are countless volunteers who work tirelessly on fundraising activities that support both local social work, and national research to find a cure for HD. And there are those who support HD through their generous financial donations.
During 2022, the Ohio Valley Chapter was blessed with donations designated in memory of recently departed Family members, or in honor of the years of service of volunteer families. There were financial gifts to fundraisers: Hoopathon, Putting for the Cause, Walkathon. There were donations made to further the work of Ohio Valley Chapter, and HDSA national.
